CleanSky2’s RATIOS project is designing the cabin interior of the future for regional aircraft, and the final configuration was recently completed. The futuristic design endeavours to optimise travel times while maximising the passengers’ flight experience and, of course, reducing weight and improving eco-compliance thanks to the use of new technologies and materials. USER FOCUSED RESEARCH Designing the user-experience entails a deep knowledge of our customers, of their attitudes and behaviors through observation and research. Design translates the findings and guides the experience and interaction in an attempt to improve and simplify usability and ergonomy.
