The Berlin Philharmonic Hall. Voted #2 in the world's top orchestras. Founded in 1882 by 54 musicians under the name Frühere Bilsesche Kapell. Following the design of architect Hans Scharoun, the new building was inaugurated on October 15th 1963, with a performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, conducted by Herbert von Karajan. On December 18th 2008 the orchestra created a digital concert hall that enables music fans all over the world to see and hear the Philharmonic's concerts.
