Mexican Revolution. Adela Velarde Pérez born September 8, 1900. Creator of the revolutionary group the adelitas, who acted as nurses for soldiers injured in combat. From a young age his vocation was medicine, for this reason he joined the Mexican Association of the White Cross. In 1913, he served in the División del Norte. The composer Antonio del Río has dedicated the famous poem "La Adelita".
