PROJECT - RecyBags

Many of the mothers that we know here in Cebu city wants to earn but cannot get a full time job or go to work because they have to look after their young children who does not go to school yet. Because of this, Rise Above aims to help these mothers by giving them a source of income even when they are at home looking after their young ones. Through the RecyBag livelihood program, the mothers earn enough money to buy food for the household and allowance for their children going to school.

Now the RecyBag program does not cater only to the mothers. If the husband would like to learn, then he could join too. Like these couple here, it is better to work together for the future of their baby.

Carmelita, before she became the stay-in caretaker of the Family Care Center, she too started with the RecyBag. She now takes care of the Family Care center, along with her family, as we transferred her from their small rickety house.
