If we didn’t know his desire to wipe out God’s people his desire might seem less sinister.. but in concert with the rest of his character it takes on the hue of sheer evil. He seems almost like a conduit through which the enemy flowed. Transparent. My literary background looks for roundness of character as a sign of authenticity. Haman has about as much roundness of character as Satan. Not really a sign of inauthenticity in this case…
