Ornament has interesting symbolism which date to the Middle Ages. Christ holding the orb means He has dominion over the Earth and is King over all. This is also a symbol of the King/Queen of England, along with the sceptre. Ornament is made of mache, in excellent condition, and looks hand-painted with a little glitter sprinkled over it.
