In order to introduce or review my unit on figurative language, I found it useful to have a clear description of the different types including examples of each and links to the internet with interactive support! Included are: similes, metaphors, personification, idioms, alliteration, hyperboles, and onomatopoeia. This PowerPoint is hyperlinked to promote active use by the students via the smart board! I always pull this out as a test preperation review too!
