About this resource: Looking for a fun way to reinforce secants and tangent measures in circles? This Special Segments in Circles Match Mats activity can be used individually, in pairs or in groups to achieve just that! Each student, pair or group playing will receive a Match Mat or pair of Match Mats and a set of matching tiles. I print the tiles on colored paper and pre-cut them. The teacher designates an appropriate amount of time to place the correct measure on top of each space on the mat. At the end of the designated time, mats are checked for accuracy. 4 versions of this game are included: 1. Chords meeting inside the circle 2. Secants meeting outside the circle 3. A tangent and secant meeting outside the circle 4. Challenge problem incorporating all of the above TWO matching tile sets are included for each game: Tiles mixed from each individual mat and tiles mixed from mats 1 & 2, and mats 3 &4 for increased difficulty. Choose which tile set works best for your classroom! Please see the preview for details! Complete instructions are included in the document. Answer keys included!
