6 dollar Goodwill chair: 1) take apart  strip off old fabric cover 2) cut new fabric to size leaving 3-4 inches on each side to wrap to the back 3) use staple gun to secure fabric4)cut out fabric for backing-staple  cover staples by hot gluing ribbon over them.ribbon should appear as a clean cut square on the back of chair 5) paint legs  allow to dry.reassemble chair.Buy a spray paint that is meant to be used on metal if the legs are made out of metal--otherwise paint will peel.
