Christine Keeler (foreground) & her friend, Mandy Rice-Davies (in back) two very young girls performing in seedy nightclubs and running with a fast rich and well connected crowd in 1962 London managed to bed several British Lords, Russian spies, and Members of PM's Government.  The scandal that ensued eventually brought down the conservative government and ended the promising political career of Cabinet Minister John Profumo.  Thus giving the scandal its name "The Profumo Affair".
