It’s on the prowl from three hours before sunset until midnight, and again before dawn ‘til three hours after sunrise. Each night, it moves two to seven miles, mostly on the same route.

Bobcats have a variety of spots and streaks. Their fur is darker on top, fading to spotted white underneath. Like the other lynx species, bobcats have tufted ears and facial ruffs, but both tend to be short. They also have short tails.
