Lesser Scaup Ducks The Lesser scaup(Aythya affinis) is a small North American diving duck that migrates south as far as Central America in winter. It is colloquially known as the little bluebill or broadbill because of its distinctive blue bill.

Barrow's Goldeneye, Bucephala islandica: a med-sized sea duck,  similar in appearance to the Common Goldeneye. Adult males have a dark head with a purplish gloss and a white crescent at the front of the face. Adult females have a yellow bill.  Their breeding habitat is wooded lakes and ponds primarily in NW N.A. but also in scattered locations in E Can. & Iceland
