Françoise Dorléac,(21 March 1942 – 26 June 1967) was a French actress. She was the daughter of screen actor Maurice Dorléac and Renée Simonot, and the elder sister of Catherine Deneuve. The two sisters starred together in the 1967 musical, The Young Girls of Rochefort. Francoise Dorléac (1942 - 1967) was a French actress, and older sister of Catherine Deneuve. The two sisters starred together in the 1967 musical, The Young Girls of Rochefort. Francoise was on the brink of true international stardom when she died on 26 June 1967. Francoise lost control of the rented Renault 10 she was driving and hit a signpost 10km from Nice. The car flipped over, and burst into flames. Francoise was seen struggling to get out of the car, but was unable to open the door.
