The first woman's motorcycle club was created by Dot Robinson in 1939. This was a tough time period for women who rode due to conservative values of society. Women were seen as homemakers and stay-at-home moms, not bikers. The club is now known as Motor Maids Inc. (Photo repinned, source unknown)

Dorothy "Dot" Robinson co-founded Motor Maids, the nation's first organized, AMA chartered women's motorcycle club and paved the way for women in competitive motorcycle riding and racing.

Evel Knievel was a major inspiration during my childhood. We built so many plywood and bricks ramps to jump  over our friends.
