Wehner Von Braun.  Not a warbird exactly, but the man who was responsible for both the Nazi's V2 rocket, and without whose genius the US Space program would still be second rate.  I worked with the man who was Von Braun's boss at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL (close to my home in Birmingham).  He had nothing but praise for the brilliant German scientist.  Today, Hunstville is home to the Von Braun Rocket Center.
