" you're falling back to me, the star that I can see, I know you're out there. .. somewhere out there..."

And God flung the stars across the galaxy and then Glaxy's across the universe till we find Starscape, across the the arch of time!

The core of our galaxy, seen in infrared light by the Spitzer Space Telescope. Blue light is from stars, green light is from polycyclic carbon molecules, yellow and red light is from the thermal glow of warm dust. This image spans approximately 1000 light years by 1600 light years. The galactic core is 26000 light years away.

'Cosmic Bird' galaxy, aka ESO 593-IG 008 - It bucks the trend of the more common spiral shaped galaxies, instead appearing as a bird shaped wonder. There is a catch though. What we are seeing is the result of 3 different galaxies crossing paths to form a super galaxy. It is ~ 650 million light years away & is a part of the luminous infrared galaxies - 1000 billion times luminosity of our sun. Scientists speculate that these kind of galaxies are indicators of a galaxy evolution of sorts.

A stunning rare case of a triple merger of galaxies. This system, which astronomers have dubbed 'The Bird' - albeit it also bears resemblance with a cosmic Tinker Bell - is composed of two massive spiral galaxies and a third irregular galaxy.
