Two piece suit of horizontally ribbed silk velvet with pink and green dots: collarless coat with self covered button trim, 5.5" deep cuffs, shaped pocket flaps, cream silk lining; narrow fall-front breeches with cut steel buckles at knees, napped cotton-linen lining, (stains and repairs underarms, extensive damage and repairs to breeches) coat good, breeches fair.

The body of the coat is cut in four pieces, with a center back seam and two side seams set far to the back.

Acc. Num: 1953-838, 1-3  Considering his other books, I think that this may have been what Robert Jordan had in mind when he mentioned coats, shirts, and breeches.
