This is an eye-opening film, which is rather sad, when you look around you and see how women are seen through the lens of a camera.

Miss Representation. Women deserve better in our society, and this film points out amazing ways to get there.

Katia Chausheva, the 58 year-old artist – based in the city of Plovdiv dips her lens beyond the patina of standardized beauty. She invites us to immerge ourselves in the deepest and most intimate dimension of women, which often results in obscurity, which Katia interprets with great technical control of the entire photographic process. A  glass, a hazy veil, a furtive look from the keyhole, a hallucination. The portraits of Chausheva are characterized by dark, opaque, dream like tones.
