I love the dynamic between the Doctor and Wilf. Wilf sees him as a young man, maybe a nephew or grandson, but the Doctor sees Wilf the same way. He looks so young, but he's more than nine centuries old, and he's been broken so many times. He gets all emotional and it just HURTS, because he really does believe that her absorbing the energy is his fault, even though he didn't really have anything to do with this. The other thing that makes me sob is after they get back to the TARDIS, and she has no idea what happened. He doesn't tell her, and we have no reason to believe Ten did either. She literally has no idea what happened to her Doctor, or that he died so she could…
