Nautilus Tabletop Sculpture...The Chambered Nautilus is elegant and fascinating. His shell is a compartmentalized natural logarithmic spiral (not a Fibonacci spiral, as some believe). He draws in water and forcefully expels it to move via jet propulsion. He controls buoyancy by adjusting the amount of gases in the chambers of his shell, and he rises or descends at will. Jules Verne’s Captain Nemo named his submarine the “Nautilus.” Brilliant!
