Liptovský širák - Klobúk so širokou strechou Liptov, Spiš a Nitra. This hat is worn by Boyko men in many old photographs and drawings. Sometimes the brim is lower or narrower, sometimes the brim is pulled down in front and back and the sides curled in more. Sometimes the top is flat rather than domed. I suspect this is the hat called "галамуцкий капелюх" (Olomouc hat) by the Boykos.
