Giovanni Falcone (Italian:  18 May 1939 – 23 May 1992) was an Italian judge and prosecuting magistrate. From his office in the Palace of Justice in Palermo (Sicily), he spent most of his professional life trying to overthrow the power of the Sicilian Mafia. After a long and distinguished career, culminating in the famous Maxi Trial in 1986-1987, he was killed by the Corleonesi Mafia in May 1992, on the A29 motorway near the town of Capaci.

When the Berlin wall was built, this little boy was stuck on the opposite side to his family. Despite orders to not let anyone pass, this German soldier helped this boy over the barbed wire so he could get to his family. The soldiers superior saw him do this and immediately detached the soldier from his unit. no one knows what happens to the soldier afterwards. It's amazing that he risked everything just for one little boy. he's truely an extraordinary man!
