"물랑드라 갈레트에서 (Au Bal du Moulin de la Galette)" (1889) 물랭 드 라 갈레트 역시 춤과 술이 있는 곳으로 로트렉의 주무대 중 하나였다. 그런데 춤을 소재로 한 여타 작품들에 비해 이 그림은 조금 다른 느낌이다. 화면의 중심에 춤이 존재하는 것이 아니라 춤을 구경하는 정적인 사람들이 있기 때문이다. 기존에 율동을 동경하며 동적인 그림으로 자유를 얻고자 했던 로트렉이 이 그림에서만큼은 정적인 스스로의 신체를 투사하고 싶었던 것인지도 모른다.
