Femme d'Alger by Roy Lichtenstein - 1963 Originally a romantic painting by Eugene Delacriox. Pablo Picasso stylised the painting's shape and composition. Piet Mondrian then responded Picasso's interpretation, by changing the line work and colours. Roy Lichtenstein eventually stepped in to this by stylising Mondrian's painting. Absolutely love the century-old conversation going on between these artists!
