It was attached to the art practiced in southern Italy and Sicily under Frederick II Hohenstaufen (Buchthal, 1947); considered from the court of Alfonso X of Castile (Dominguez-Rodriguez, 1984); attributed to a workshop in Bologna (Pocket, 1984), with, in the latter case, the possibility of a Sicilian style (Orofini 1994).
