2000 Iraqi children hold olive branches as they take part in a children's peace rally in Baghdad, Tuesday, Dec. 31 , 2002. The peace march was led by Raghda, a Syrian actress: "What is the new year bringing to Iraqi children? What is Santa Claus bringing them? Bombs?" For U.N. inspectors searching for non-existent forbidden arms, it was a normal day in which they visited seven sites, including a plant manufacturing short-range missiles and a medical research center. WMDs were never found.
