Google's Chrome browser, which celebrates its fifth birthday next month, has captured much of the territory of older browsers and is now responsible for about 43% of all the web traffic generated by the world's desktop computers. When Chrome was launched the dominant browser was Microsoft's Internet Explorer, with a 68% share, it is now down to just 25%.

Archimedes (287-212 B.C.) was a Greek mathematician who developed the principle of the lever and that a small weight at a distance from a fulcrum would balance a large weight near the fulcrum and that the weight and distances were in inverse proportion.  He reportedly hooked up a system of levers in pulley form and singlehandedly pulled a fully laden cargo ship out of harbor and onto shore.  He said: “Give me a place to stand on and I can move the world.”
