I took this photo of the Hall of Honour at Chateau de Blois.  The magnificent fireplace features the salamander on the left and the ermine on the right – the emblem of Queen Claude, who died in 1524.  And note the beautiful hand-painted ceiling.

Amboise (Loire Valley), France – Chateau du Clos Luce, home of Leonardo de Vinci, built in 1471, Leonardo moved in 1516.  The Oratory of Anne de Bretagne Chapel build in the 15th century by Charles VIII for his wife Anne de Bretagne, who's children had died in infancy.  She came here to cry.
