Monna Vanna 1866 by Dante Gabriel Rossetti. The model for this painting was Alexa Wilding, who sat for some of Rossetti's best-known works. The spiral pearl clasp in her flowing auburn hair and the red coral necklace often appear in Rossetti's paintings.
