George Reeves - as Clark Kent on TV Series --- Superman 1952 - 1958 We did not get a tv until 1957 and then were transferred to Japan. I did not know that Superman spoke English until 1959 when we moved back state side.

George Reeves was an American actor best known for his role as Clark Kent/Superman in the television program Adventures of Superman. He died on June 1959 at the age of 45 from a self inflicted gunshot.

I love my antenna tv. Just wish I could get a large outdoor antenna. Don't care for the digital.

Bandstand began as a local program on WFIL-TV (now WPVI), Channel 6 in Philadelphia on October 7, 1952. Then it was hosted by Bob Horn.On July 9 of 1956 the show got a new host, a clean-cut 26 year old named Dick Clark. Airing it's first national show on August 5, 1957.
