✄ A Fondness for Felt ✄ DIY craft inspiration: Felt by Woolly Fabulous,

Sue Spargo Pin Cushion. Saw this lady, Sue Spargo, make this beautiful pin cusion on Quilting Arts TV. She is amazing in the various stitches she makes. I can't do hand work (because of my carpal tunnel), so I'm looking to see where I can buy a cushion like this. Wool is BEST for a pin cushion because the lanolin in the wool coats and protects needles (from rust).

Sue Spargo’s wool applique and embroidered pincushion project on “Quilting Arts TV.” Series 1500 will start airing in January

A sewing machine is handy, but a seasoned seamstress should know her way around a sewing needle and thread. There are three hand stitches that will get you through just about any basic task -- the slip stitch, the backstitch, and the running stitch -- and knowing how to apply them allows you to mend a seam, hem a garment, or fasten a button with ease. Here are a few basic ideas to practice and master each one.
