A Fort Bragg Green Beret has been killed in Afghanistan. Sgt. Daniel T. Lee, 28, of Crossville, Tenn., died Wednesday (1/15/2014), according to the Department of Defense. Lee, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, died from wounds received during combat operations in Parwan province.

Army SPC. Spencer T. Karol, 20, of Woodruff, Arizona. Died October 6, 2003, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 165th Military Intelligence, V Corps, Darmstadt, Germany. Died while on a mission to observe enemy activity when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Ramadi, Iraq.

The vehicle was part of a transportation convoy enroute to Taji, Iraq.

Although still recovering from his injuries overseas, Army Sgt. Cesar Sanchez, from Miami Florida insisted on leaving his electric wheelchair to walk the flag down Main Street, U.S.A., saying “If it’s for the colors, I’ll walk."  God bless this man. Hugs & Love, Linda
