Catherine Willis Gray (1803-1867) was the great-grandniece of George Washington.  She married Prince Achille Murat, son of Joachim Murat, former King of Naples, and Caroline Bonaparte in 1826.  Napoleon Bonaparte was his uncle.  They settled in Florida.  After her husband's death in 1854, she worked towards the preservation of Mount Vernon.
