Koudum Molen by Chad Dutson

Koudum Molen

Restored Windmill in the Village, De Vlijt, Netherlands Súdwest-Fryslân, Koudum.

The New Mill, Cross In Hand, near Heathfield, East Sussex in 1965. Erected here in 1868 having previously stood at Mount Ephraim, near Uckfield, to stand alongside a smaller post mill which was demolished in 1905 but the roundhouse still stands. The New Mill was the last commercially working windmill in Sussex, finally ceasing work in 1969 when a sweep broke off. Today the mill has no sails and is in a ruinous condition, although some essential repairs were carried out recently.
