Dance

Mislabeled: This is showing up under vintage black and white and I wouldn't have noticed but there was a comment that said this was Katy Perry. They are correct it is Katy Perry from her Thinking Of You video.

Joyful dance

I wish I could go back to Africa and see the children dance again. Just the site of the children dancing warms your heart :)

Via www.sharonmdavis.com: “Swing dancing” is an umbrella term for any dance done to swinging jazz music from the 1920s, 30s or 40s. The most popular (and spectacular) of these dances was the Lindy Hop - a partnered dance that evolved out of the Charleston in the late 1920s, in Harlem New York. It is named after aviator Charles Lindbergh (1927 newspaper headlines read “Lindy Hops The Atlantic”). It is sometimes just called The Lindy, and some parts of the world knew it as The Jitterbug.

Anal Dancers on the retro Lindy/Swing/Jive scenes: Tediously dull dancers who look down on people having fun while they bore the dance floor senseless. They all think we want to be like them - sorry no - get a f**kin' life.

ALL I LOVE

“Dance is active meditation. When we dance, we go beyond thought, beyond mind and beyond our own individuality to become one in the divine ecstasy of the union with the cosmic spirit. This is the essence of the trance dance experience.

Parada tango step

I need to get back to dancing tango! I love this image. You don't have to see the dance the feet tell you it's tango:)

It is all about Perfection

This is a good photograph because it is taken from an interesting angle and is not a typical dancer picture. The pointe shoe coming towards the camera creates a sense of depth. and I like the tutu thing
