Take the Bajau people, who are famous for their free-diving skills and may spend their entire lives on boats. The picture here shows a Bajau festival, with boats decked with colourful sails.       Other "sea gypsies" include the Moken people who roam the waters off Thailand and Burma. Their children spend so much time diving for food that their eyes have adapted to focusing underwater. Sadly, this ancient seafaring way of life is dying out.
