Just beautiful.Reminds me of the rock gardens in our back yard when I was a child. They were full of Lilly of the Valley and we cleaned them every spring.I loved the Lilly of the Valley even as a very young girl.
Love Lily of the Valley! Also makes a wonderful ground cover perennial. The very fragrant flowers appear in abundance in April and May. They are ideal for growing in wild or woodland gardens or use for ground cover in a damp shaded border.
This is the Lilies of the Valley bouquet. Lilies of the Valley symbolize future happiness. (We chose this because Archer always gets Them for May) “The bridesmaids' eight bouquets of white lilac and lilies-of-the-valley had been sent in due time,”
"An all-time favorite perennial. The sweet scent of Lily-of-the-Valley will fill the garden in early spring. Each stem produces as many as 25 blooms. Easy to grow in shady areas, but will also thrive in partial sun." My favorite flower.
The Best Fragrant Flowers for your garden. -- though it's small, lily-of-the-valley packs a big fragrance in its nodding white or pink bell-shape flowers. It's a tough, low-care groundcover you can practically plant and forget in shady spots.
