An imperial dragon insignia designed to be worn on a men’s surcoat during the Late Qing Dynasty, circa 1875-1900, is part of “Threads of Heaven” (pun intended, we hope!). The exhibition, opening Sunday at the Denver Art Museum, features the spectacular clothing and accessories worn toward the end of China’s last empire.

Become captivated by a selection of exquisitely embellished robes, accessories, and textiles. Threads of Heaven illustrates the court and culture of the Qing dynasty and the final days of empire in China through more than 80 dazzling pieces.
