Alice Edmonstone-Keppel (1868-1947) Scotland, portrait in 1884 by unknown artist. Wife of George Keppel & mistress of King Edward VII (Albert Edward) (1841-1910) Prince of Wales, UK. She became a unique royal mistress who influenced UK politics using her open relationship with the King. King Edward VII's death made Keppel so hysterical that at his deathbed she had to be dragged out of his room by guards. Both Alice’s husband George & Edward’s wife Alix were aware Alice was his mistress.
