Hatshepsut from Deir al-Bahri, Egypt - Hatshepsut is one of the most famous queens of Egypt who also ruled as pharaoh. She was the 5th pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty. Her mummy may have been in KV 60. Although a Middle Kingdom female pharaoh, Sobekneferu/Neferusobek, had ruled before Hatshepsut, being a woman was an obstacle, so Hatshepsut dressed as a man.  Lived at the beginning of the fifteenth century BC, belonging to the Eighteenth Dynasty of the New Kingdom.

Estatua reina Aset, XVIII Din. Madre del faraón Tutmosis III. Sentada en un asiento  de respaldo bajo en cuya base se graba una fórmula dedicatoria. Sigue el tradicional modelo regio de imagen frontal de R. Antiguo: brazos dispuestos a los lados del cuerpo, fina túnica que permite adivinar anatomía, manos apoyadas sobre los muslos, piernas y pies dispuestas en paralelo. Sobre la pesada peluca tripartita en trenzas, una diadema cilíndrica de oro con 2 plumas (perdidas), y 2 ureus.
