A Train in Winter--This is a book I would like to have written. The story of 230 French resistance women held in Nazi death camps needed to be told, and Moorhead has done so with marvelous thoroughness. Painful subject but an important read...and a good one.

Read it, and then read Charlotte Delbo's translated memoirs.
