A belle epoque aigrette, 1913, by Cartier. Supported by a kokoshnic style base, this aigrette features some seriously large pear-shaped diamonds. The first acts as base from which three diamond pinnacles rise, the central then branches out to suspend two more large pear-shaped diamonds. Though it's shown here minus it's feathers, the effect must have been very striking when worn.
