35 books to read before they're 2014 movies! Do you like to read the book first or see the movie first?

My #1 favorite book of all time. Not a book club pick, just a book I loved. I have read this three times, listened to the audio and watched the movie.

The Road (Cormac McCarthy). Understated and straightforward but written with beautiful language and some heartfelt moments. A dad and young son "carry the fire" to the coast in a post apocalyptic cannibalistic world.

Mockingjay. Wow. I don't know if I've ever cried that much over a book (the entire series really). To be fair, I didn't read the HP books until after the movies.

‘Mockingjay’: The Hunger Games Finale Review Revue

Book Suzanne Collins' Mockingjay, the final book in the Hunger Games series. It was an interesting series and some of the better YA I've read, although there's a lot of exposition.

Conociendo a cincuenta sombras •Libro 3• - G. E. Griffin

'Fifty Shades Freed: Book Three of the Fifty Shades Trilogy' by E L James ---- When unworldly student Anastasia Steele first encountered the driven and dazzling young entrepreneur Christian Grey it sparked a sensu.

By far, the best book I've read this year! It has it all: Intrigue, Love, Murder...all set in the 1930s/1940s on a traveling circus.

Water for Elephants - Sara Gruen. Slightly different from the film in a way that is great. If you like circus things, this is a tops read.
