Length of brocaded velvet, late century Italian (Venice) Silk velvet brocaded with metal-wrapped thread 148 x 23 in.

Linen doublet front with linen trim braid, repro of a model popular circa 1630s. Threadworked silk buttons, with waked linen buttonholes or fingerloop braid silk laces. The doublet has been made by Angela of Peggy's Necessities, but buttons, lacing, eyelets and buttonholes are my own - loving every minute of it!
