You can reach it by a stairway from the Manifold track, the path follows one of the Peak District's 'disappearing' rivers, which seep deep into the cracks of the limestone.

Whitby Abbey is a ruined Benedictine abbey overlooking the North Sea on the East Cliff above Whitby in North Yorkshire, England. It was disestablished during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under the auspices of Henry VIII.

When I see pictures of England I feel like it's somewhere I've been before and need to return to. They make me feel homesick, and my entire being identifies with them. Perhaps in a past life.

♡ Skipton Castle, Yorkshire - Probably one of the best preserved castles in England; the courtyard alone makes it such a worthwhile visit.

Barmouth, Wales.  Beautiful town, but had the biggest seagulls we had ever seen. Stole my son's sandwich, scared the heck out of us, so we ran back to the car, swinging the camera around our heads to shoo these monster birds away.  Great beach though...

I'm sure this is the house we wanted to retire to when we used to holiday here in the and Don't think I'd manage to climb the slope with shopping now.
