Maria Luisa of Savoy, Queen of Spain (1688-1714) was the second child of Anne Marie d'Orleans, Queen of Sardinia and Victor Amadeus II of Savoy. She was the first wife of Phillip V of Spain, and they were both great-grandchildren of Louis XIII of France. Maria Luisa died in 1714. She and Phillip had two sons who lived beyond childhood and each succeeded Phillip as King of Spain, but neither had children, so the crown passed to Phillip's children by his second wife.
