The term osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) covers a group of genetic disorders that mostly affect the bones. The name osteogenesis imperfecta literally means imperfect bone formation. Ostoegenesis imperfecta or OI is also referred to as brittle bone disease.

Classic Imaging Signs of Congenital Cardiovascular Abnormalities

TAPVR (b) Chest radiograph obtained in a neonate (b the same as a with a superimposed drawing) reveals the classic snowman sign, sometimes referred to as a figure-of-eight sign.

Type IV Osteogenesis Imperfecta    Type IV osteogenesis imperfecta is moderately severe, with improperly formed collagen. Bones fracture easily, but the whites of the eyes are normal. Some people with type IV osteogenesis imperfecta may be shorter than average and may have brittle teeth. Bone deformities are mild to moderate.
