Here is a Punic terracotta, from the museum of Carthage that I particularly appreciate. This figure reproduces a scene baking bread in an oven at home (tabouna) fashioned from clay dried. A woman is placing a slab against the inner wall of the preheated oven, under the gaze of a child interested. This everyday scene dating back more than 2500 years (sixth century BC) is still valid.
