Tattershall Castle, built by Robert de Tateshale in 1231. Described as "the finest piece of medieval brick-work in England". Sadly then fell into neglect until 1911 when it was purchased and restored by Lord Curzon of Kedleston, who left it to the National Trust on his death in 1925.
