Kildare Mansion in Huntsville, Alabama is the wonderful mansion and estate built in 1886 for Michael J. O'Shaughnessy. He was a wealthy and ambitious northerner who came south after the Civil War and continued to build his fortune. When construction of "Kildare" was complete, O'Shaughnessy had his prize-winning foxhounds and horses brought in so that he could enjoy the sports of chase as a way of unwinding.

Nissequogue - Show House Abandoned Gold Coast Mansion, formerly the home of one of the Titanic victims. Used in 2009 as a design showcase location. This place is HUGE and has not been ruined by vandals, but has obvious signs of neglect. Over-all layout and architecture is amazing and there is a labyrinth of a basement underneath - with a massive vault / panic room. One of my favorite places. This house is dubbed 'The Show House', found on a plaque painted on the main stairwell wall.
